One of the finest and most respected cities in American is giving one our most beloved citizens the key to city.

Well… kind of. Al Sharpton received the Key to the Newark New Jersey because of his incredible dedication to Civil Justice and Civil Rights.

Apparently Mayor Ras Baraka of the Newark New Jersey doesn’t care that Sharpton owes over $4.5 million in back state and federal taxes. He doesn’t care that Sharpton is one of the leading race baiters in America and is dividing the country.

It is Al Sharpton! Barack Obama’s is Al’s buddy. He has an open invitation to visit the White House whenever he wants!

The fact that Al Sharpton, a man with surrounded in controversy and universally disliked, would get be honored by receiving a Key to a City. Any city. You can rest assured that politics and money are playing a role in this “honor”.

Al’s words during his acceptance speech seem to echo his disconnect with the way the world really is. This guy couldn’t be more out of touch with how a vast majority of Americans feel. See for yourself.

What is next for Al Sharpton? Key to the City in Detroit? I guess we will have to just wait and see what Cop does something wrong this summer.

At least if somebody is going to give a person like Al Sharpton a key to a city, it might as well be Newark New Jersey.

At a time when trains are being derailed in mass casualty incidents, conductor cabins damaged by unknown objects and safety technologies waiting to be installed on 140,000 miles of rail lines across the country, you would think that subway security would be a high priority in a terrorist target like New York City – and you would be wrong.

A new viral video emerged this past week showing a group of subway vandals sneaking onto a stored subway train and taking control of it.

In a video posted to YouTube, members of the group Subway Conquestors are shown sneaking onto a darkened train at an unknown location and begin manipulating the subway doors. D.J. Hammers, who uploaded the video, alleged that the vandals used stolen subway keys to gain entry to the car.

Police told CBSNewYork news that the suspects involved in the incident depicted on the video have been arrested but that other members of the group have been involved in other incidents since then.

Police believe the Subway Conquestors are responsible for an explosion in the Bronx and have been linked to a second one at Brooklyn’s Nostrand Avenue station in April. In the Nostrand Avenue incident, police arrested Keyshawn Brown, 16, and accused him of placing a piece of metal on the tracks.

Max Diamond, a train and rail hobbyist who has tracked the Subway Conquestors for the last two years, said the vandalism is getting more extreme as group members try to outdo each other. Recent acts of vandalism include changing destination signs to confuse passengers, surfing train cars and stealing Metropolitan Transportation Authority equipment and gear. Diamond said:

“It’s extremely dangerous. The tools and keys they have given them full control over subway trains just like any other employee of the MTA — which is incredibly scary, because this is 16, 17-year-old kids…”

Right now, Police are largely reliant on catching offenders in the act of interfering with subway trains and tracks but believe as members are nabbed, interrogations will lead to more arrests and, hopefully, the demise of the group.

In a story straight out of science fiction, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has developed a new kind of bullet – one that guides itself to a target even if that target is moving and does so with deadly accuracy.

DARPA calls it the Extreme Accuracy Tasked Ordinance (EXACTO) program and an advance version of the self-steering bullet has shown increased hit rates for difficult, long-distance shots and the latest round of live-fire tests in February are the most successful to date.

One would be satisfied if an experienced shooter could aim and fire the “technology demonstration system” and repeatedly hit moving and evading targets but the round works with novice first time shooters as well.

Jerome Dunn, DARPA program manager said in a press release that:

“True to DARPA’s mission, EXACTO has demonstrated what was once thought impossible: the continuous guidance of a small-caliber bullet to target.

This live-fire demonstration from a standard rifle showed that EXACTO is able to hit moving and evading targets with extreme accuracy at sniper ranges unachievable with traditional rounds.

Fitting EXACTO’s guidance capabilities into a small .50-caliber size is a major breakthrough and opens the door to what could be possible in future guided projectiles across all calibers.”

There’s more.

According to DARPA findings, “EXACTO’s specially designed ammunition and real-time optical guidance system help track and direct projectiles to their targets by compensating for weather, wind, target movement and other factors that can impede successful hits.”

The EXACTO round improves the range and accuracy of snipers systems beyond the current state of the art, will achieve the goal of improving sniper effectiveness and troop safety by increasing shooter standoff range and shortening time to target.

The program from the Pentagon’s research arm is a major innovation in rifle accuracy and if ever made public would bring hyper-accuracy to hunting rifles.

Peter Schweizer, author of “Clinton Cash” about the Clinton Foundation finances, various campaign committees and former President Bill Clinton’s speaking fees, implied this week that he has hired full-time security for himself after receiving credible death threats leading up to the book’s publication on May 5.

When asked during a Bloomberg interview if he received any death threats over his controversial book, Peter Schweizer would only say he has “security.” “I’ll just say we have security. And that security is not something that just came because we decided to have security. And we’ll just leave it at that,” he said.

The allegations in “Clinton Cash” have become a thorn in the side of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign since last Thursday when pre-release copies were given to a number of media organizations for scrutiny – reviews that have sparked the publication of stories critical of Hillary Clinton based, in part, on Schweizer’s book.

Schweizer’s book accuses Clinton of granting State Department favors to foreign governments, companies and individuals in return for speaking fees to her husband and for donations to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation – Clinton Foundation for short.

In one such story, The New York Times wrote about an inexplicable decision by the State Department to approve a deal granting a Russian state agency ownership rights to U.S. uranium-production – a deal that some experts say has given Russia control over 20% of America’s uranium reserves.

According to the story, many people and entities that stood to benefit from the deal gave millions of undisclosed dollars to the Clinton Foundation at the time.

In typical fashion, the Clinton smear machine ignored the message and attacked the messenger who dismissed Schweizer as a partisan hit man.

Specifically, Clinton and her allies called attention to Schweizer’s apparent lack of evidence that Clinton ever took direct action at the State Department to benefit her foundation’s donors despite a timeline of strange coincidences – money changing hands shortly before or after key State Department decisions involving donors were made – that the Hillary campaign has so far failed to explain.

More telling is the fact that Schweizer gave news outlets including The New York Times, MSNBC and Fox News advanced copies of “Clinton Cash” and asked them to check his research and punch holes in the book if they could.

So far, these news organizations have not punched any holes in his book.

Late last week, protesters at Valdosta State University in Georgia thought it fitting and proper to punctuate their demonstration by walking on an outstretched American flag – an act that sparked Michelle Manhart, an Air Force veteran, to show up at the protest site and seize the flag so it could be retired properly according United States Flag Code.

The protestors sought out campus police to force the return of the flag so it could be desecrated further leading to confrontation with police and demonstrators caught on camera. Manhart, who heard about the group’s recent campus demonstrations, wanted to take action. According to Manhart:

“I did not want anything like this, but I got a call from a student who told me that the flag was on the ground, and they were walking on it…” “I was just going over there to pick up the flag off the ground. I don’t know what their cause is, but I went to pick it up because it doesn’t deserve to be on the ground.”

Following the altercation, VSU police officers took Manhart into custody and returned the flag to the demonstrators. Manhart told The Valdosta Daily Times that she resisted arrest after seeing police return the flag to protesters.

Both the protest group and the officers that detained Manhart declined to press charges for resisting the return of the already soiled flag

Valdosta State University Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing and Communications Andy Clark said that Manhart was instead given a “criminal trespass warning” banning her from attending all university activities including graduation, football games and other events.

While protesters expressed pride in desecrating the American flag and cited their First Amendment right to do so – a right purchased with the blood and treasure of the American people – refused to identify their group to The Valdosta Daily Times or speak with a reporter about their cause.

One member of the group who declined to speak with The Valdosta Daily Times or identify himself told a VSU student that putting the American flag on the ground and walking on it was:

“…a symbol of our protest. When a slave understands his situation and understands he doesn’t want to be in slavery, he does not respect or revere anything his slave master has put in front of him.”

Manhart said she was not on campus long enough to learn what the group’s message was but did say that if their cause was to oppose racism, that was a cause that she supports. Manhart said:

“If your cause is racism then find some white people and walk on them. But to walk on the flag is walking on our symbol of freedom. You have the freedom to do what you are doing because of it. I’m not fighting against them. I’m fighting against the way they are going about it.”

Manhart expressed her hope the group would apologize and give her the flag so she could dispose of it properly. Clark said university officials were unable to determine if the demonstrators were VSU students but said the group had the right to protest on campus.

“They were exercising their right to symbolic speech. As long as they don’t disrupt the operations of the university, we let people engage in protest and debate,” said Clark.

After VSU officers removed Manhart from the campus, they asked to see the demonstrators’ student identification cards. The individuals refused to produce any identification and were asked to disperse, Clark said.

The VSU Board of Regents released the following statement about the incident:

“We respect the rights of people to peacefully assemble and voice their opinions. Our primary concern is the safety of our students, faculty and staff and our ability to carry out our responsibilities to all our students on campus. We are monitoring the situation.”

In full-blown “blame America” mode last week, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry expressed her concern over the Obama Administration’s decision to cave in and thaw relations between the U.S. and Cuba in exchange for nothing but for a very creative reason.

According to Harris-Perry, the coming rise in travel by American’s to the island prison could hurt Cuba because American tourists “can sometimes be a plague on the rest of the world.”

Harris-Perry said:

“On the one hand, it is great to reopen these relationships.” “On the other hand, I worry about American tourists and the ways that we can sometimes be a plague on the rest of the world, particularly in these nations that become high-tourist economies. And I’m wondering if there’s a downside to our economic ties opening up with Cuba, for Cuba.”

Writing in NewsBusters, Mark Finkelstein notes that another guest, Professor John Gutierrez with the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, countered that the centrally-planned Cuban economy affords the Cuban people virtually no economic freedom and that “we have to stop fetishizing” the idea of Cuba as some unspoiled paradise. Gutierrez continued:

“Cubans are entitled to a good standard of living.” “That may mean having a Home Depot in Cuba, right? And I think we need to respect that. So before we worry so much about whether or not the arrival of American capitalism changes something in Cuba, I think we need to recognize that Cubans have for 50 years been denied many of the basics of modern life.”

An abortion industry group called the Center for Reproductive Rights has released a new three-minute public service announcement (PSA) starring “Girls” actress Jemima Kirke. In the spot, Kirke tells an off camera interviewer about her decision to have an abortion and “all the little hoops” she had to jump through to get one.

The 29-year-old mother of two talks publicly and candidly talks about an abortion she had in 2007… how she didn’t know if she wanted to spend her life tied to the father… and how she had to empty her checking account to pay for the procedure without anesthetic because she couldn’t afford any. Quoting Ms. Kirke:

“I wasn’t sure that I wanted to be attached to this person for the rest of my life.” “My life was not conducive to raising a healthy, happy child. I just didn’t feel it was fair.”

“It’s these obstacles and this stigma that makes these things not completely unavailable. And that’s the tricky part. We do have free choice, and we are able to do whatever we want, but then there are these little hoops we have to jump through to get them…”

The PSA is a part of the Draw the Line campaign, which encourages Americans to share their personal reproductive stories that, under any other circumstance not allowed by the abortion industry, would be a “private decision between a woman and her doctor”.

According to the Center:

“Draw the Line is a national campaign to build support across the United States for robust protections of every woman’s constitutional rights and access to safe, legal, high-quality reproductive health care—no matter where she lives.”

Or, to put it another way, to build support across the United States for abortion on demand, abortion at any time including partial birth abortion, abortion for any reason including gender, eye color or other criteria and abortion for free – aka paid for with taxpayer dollars.

According to the Center, the abortion PSA is part of a petition campaign that has so far collected 300,000 signatures. The Center delivered the petition to Congress to “advance reproductive freedom as a fundamental human right that all governments are legally obligated to protect, respect, and fulfill.”

The website for the Center for Reproductive Rights, which describes itself as a group with worldwide ambitions, has no comment on China’s “One Child” forced abortion policy… forced marriage as a matter of culture… human trafficking for profit… and the use of rape as a weapon of war by ISIS and other radical Islamic groups.
