Sanders Trial
Will Bernie have to take the stand to defend his wife? What will he say?

The investigation into Jane Sanders’ deal for loan during her time at the Burlington College has reached new heights, as matters are set to be taken up before a grand jury. Sources have reported that up to a dozen boxes of records from Sanders time at the college have been taken into consideration. Moreover, a state official has also been called to testify in front of the grand jury; in order to identify as to whether Sanders had falsified a loan for the school, as it was going bankrupt and eventually shut down in May of 2016.

“A Vermont-based blog, VTDigger, reported last year that Jane Sanders inflated how much the small Vermont College had secured in donations, noting two instances in which a person said the amount of their financial pledge had been exaggerated on the school’s loan application,” highlights The Hill.

In the light of the case, it was noted that in her efforts to relocate the college to a new campus and to keep it up and running, Mrs. Sanders had mentioned at the time of taking out the loan that the college shall be receiving up to a million dollars in donation, which shall be put towards paying off the loans. However, lenders and trustees later discovered that the a good many of the donors had neither agreed on the set time for the donation and nor the amount of the donation, as listed on the documents presented by Mrs. Sanders at the time of taking out the loan.

At the time of obtaining the loan, Sanders presented records that “confirmed” $2.6 million in donation. And that the board based their decision on these records, “The board made the decision based on the information Jane provided,” said Adam Dantzscher, chairman of the board at time.

Charly Dickerson, a member of the board expressed that, “My gut was, this is biting off more than you can chew.” He added, “Their balance sheet was not all that strong.”

Bernie Sanders dismissed these allegations against his wife and continued to blame this as one of the Republican Party’s efforts to take him down.

“Right in the middle of my presidential campaign, I know this will shock the viewers, the vice chairman of the Vermont Republican Party, who happened to be Donald Trump’s campaign manager, raised this issue and initiated this investigation,” Bernie Sanders told CNN.

Moreover, it has been noted that the couple has hired a D.C. based law firm to handler this case.

A spokesperson for the couple stated, “While the Obama administration was in office, I don’t think anyone thought that these baseless allegations warranted hiring a lawyer.” And that, with Trump and [Attorney General] Jeff Sessions at the helm, that’s a very different situation,” he added.

Hey there buddy, you look down on your luck, can I interest you in some free college and democratic socialism?

Amid a deepening federal investigation of Jane Sanders, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ wife, Judicial Watch has obtained records that paint a rather disturbing personal portrait of a heartless spouse—and longtime political advisor—of the Democratic Socialist candidate for president of the United States. During the Obama administration, the FBI began investigating Jane for falsifying documents to obtain a $10 million loan to expand a now-defunct liberal arts college in a town where her husband once served as mayor while she was the school’s president.

The school, Burlington College, was in a small city with the same name in northwestern Vermont. It’s a quaint town of about 42,000 that sits on the eastern shoreline of Lake Champlain and prides itself on having “diverse, forward-thinking citizens” that are “steeped in arts and culture.” Jane was president of the troubled college from 2004 to 2011 and in 2010, she had an ambitious plan to expand the campus by 33 acres, despite low enrollment and financial difficulties. The then-president of Burlington College drastically overstated donation amounts in loan applications, according to the Vermont news website that broke the story, to obtain a $10 million loan. Jane indicated there was $2.6 million in pledged donations but the school only got $676,000 in four years.

The loan went through, some allege after her husband’s senatorial office pressured the bank to approve it, and Jane masterminded a deal to purchase an undeveloped, 32-acre parcel of land and a 77,000-square-foot facility from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington. The purchase included a facility that served as a group home for disabled people and, under the terms of the deal, Jane was supposed to negotiate the transfer of the disabled residents before the school took over the property. Instead Jane tried to kick the disabled people out of their group home, records obtained by Judicial Watch show. The records, part of an ongoing Judicial Watch investigation into the Jane Sanders fraud case, include electronic mail exchanges between Jane when she was president of Burlington College and two former mayors of the city of Burlington.

In a lengthy letter to the attorney (Todd Centybear) representing the group home for the disabled Jane indicates that she’s having trouble evicting the 16 residents from their building on the newly purchased property after the college had acquired the land. She writes: “It is simply not fair to expect the College to continue to carry the burden of the expenses associated with housing both your population and ours until February 2012.” The home for the disabled was being leased from the diocese and Jane was supposed to help relocate the residents, not evict them. The exchange shows, not only Jane’s heartlessness, but also her incompetence as the college president for not ensuring the negotiated transfer of those disabled people before the school took over the property.

In a separate email to then Burlington Mayor Bob Kiss, Jane forwards a laughable press release issued by the college announcing her resignation. “I wanted you to hear it from me,” she writes to the mayor. “It’s a good decision.” The press release announced that “In honor of her significant accomplishments, the College has given Sanders the title of President Emerita…” It adds that “The Board credits Sanders with negotiating the acquisition of its beautiful new 32-acre lakefront campus, a transformative achievement for the College.” In reality, the acquisition of that property bankrupted the College, and Sanders is now being investigated for bank fraud by the FBI for misrepresentations she made on loan documents to purchase the land for the campus.

Senator Sanders, who is up for reelection this year, hit the media circuit this week to defend his wife, assuring that she’s the most honest person he knows and that the investigation is politically motivated. “When you go after people’s wives that is really pathetic,” he said in a recent interview, adding that “it’s fairly pathetic that when people are involved in public life, it’s not only that they get attacked, but it’s their wives and their families that get attacked. That’s what this is about.” The couple lawyered up this week, hiring two prominent attorneys, one in Burlington and the other in Washington D.C. Also, this month, Jane launched a nonprofit organization, the Sanders Institute, to “revitalize democracy” with progressive policies aimed at racial and social justice as well as environmental and economic issues.

"Do as I say, not as I do!"

On Tuesday, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) appeared to have gotten quite agitated following a question by CNN’s Erin Burnett, regarding the FBI’s investigation of his wife’s role in possible fraud in a land deal that failed, when she was president of Burlington College.

“We understand your wife has hired a lawyer to represent her in a possible probe into a land deal that fell apart,” Burnett said. “This was back when she was president of Burlington College—”

“No, it was not when she was, oh,” Sanders interrupted, “let me say a word about that, you know.”

“I just want to ask you,” Burnett continued, “do you know if she’s under FBI investigation?”

“Excuse me,” Sanders interjected, “my wife is about the most honest person I know. When she came to that college, it was failing financially and academically. When she left it, it was in better shape than it had ever been.”

“Five years later, just at the moment, coincidentally no doubt, when I’m a candidate for president of the United States, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, a co-chair, vice chairman of the Republican Party in Vermont launched this investigation,” he continued.

“So all that I will tell you now, Erin, it is a sad state of affairs in America,” Sanders added, “not only when we have you know politicians being destroyed … when there are attacks against elected officials, when you’re going after your wife, people’s wives, that is pretty pathetic, and that’s where we are right now, and that’s about all that I’m going to say.”

“I do just want to understand though,” Burnett pressed, “at this time, do you have any knowledge as to whether she’s under FBI investigation?”

“That’s all that I want to say, and we’ll let it play out,” he responded. “But I think it’s fairly pathetic that when, you know, people are involved in public life, it’s not only that they get attacked, but it’s their wives and their families that they get attacked. That’s what this is about.”

The FBI is looking into a $10 million loan that Jane Sanders took to buy 33 acres of land for Burlington College. Investigating authorities believe Sanders likely overstated the financial position of the college to secure the loan. Hence, when the donations she had promised weren’t fulfilled, the institution defaulted.

Investigators are also looking into the possibility that Senator Bernie Sanders may have used his position in the government to influence the loan in any way.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, hit back at critics of former President Obama’s plans to make high-priced speeches. The progressive wing of the Democratic Party has been criticizing Obama’s decision to speak at Wall Street forums for huge sums of money. Debbie Schultz made the remarks to Erin Burnett on CNN Tuesday.

“Let me ask you,” Burnett said, “Hillary Clinton as you know spoke today she as we all are aware was slammed during the campaign for taking millions of dollars from Wall Street for paid speeches. Right, people saw it as hypocritical, people saw it as unfair for someone who said they were going to stand up to the banks.”

“Now President Obama though, is being criticized by some of your fellow democrats for his decision to take $400,000 for a single speech to Wall Street,” she asked and showed videos of Democrats criticizing Obama. “Are they right?”

“I mean of all people to question whether or not,” Schultz answered, “question their commitment to getting money out of politics, to really making sure we restored the integrity to the political finance process. President Obama could not have done more.”

“But he’s talking about specifically about banks, right?” Burnett interjected.

“Look it is none of anyone’s business what someone who is a member of the private sector decides to accept as compensation,” Shultz added. “With all due respect to anyone who chooses to comment publicly on what Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, or anyone earns as a member of the private sector, it’s just like NYOB, it’s none of your business.”

“So even though the banks are bigger than they were, none of that matters to you at this point,” Burnett asked. “No bank CEOs went to jail…”

“No, look, those things are all offensive, no no no,” Schultz replied, “I agree, I think that there was a lot more that needed to happen to not only crack down on the big banks, but for there to be consequences for their actions. But as far as the compensation that a private citizen takes for a speech that they give, um, that’s not my concern nor any of our business.”

“I look more at the public record of someone like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton,” she concluded, “and their public record is pristine. They both fought back against the big banks and their practices and I have every confidence in the service they provided.”

Leave it to socialist Senator Bernie Sanders to ask one of the most idiotic questions ever of a Trump nominee.

While grilling President Elect Trump’s Secretary of Education nominee, Betsy Devos, the crazy-professor looking senator asked:

“Do you think, if you were not a multi-billionaire, if your family has not made hundreds of millions of dollars contributions to the Republican party that you’d be sitting here today.”

Watch the exchange and Mrs. Devo’s reaction in the video above.

If what Julian Assange says is true, then the WikiLeaks press conference on Tuesday could be the Hillary evidence that we’ve all been waiting for.

The Clintons have been in politics for over forty years and they have dodged a number of scandals. From cocaine drug running to Whitewater to Hillary’s email scandal, the Clintons have walked away unscathed.

But Hillary’s days of dodging the truth may be over if Julian Assange has anything to say about it.

We have been waiting for the promised “evidence” needed to put Hillary in prison from WikiLeaks since founder Julian Assange said earlier this year that he would release the damaging information.

A major announcement was scheduled for Tuesday from Assange’s balcony at the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, but that got shut down due to security concerns.

When releasing information on the Clintons, then there is always a security concern.

Now a press conference will appear live online.

This could be the big one. WikiLeaks did bring us the information that caused the top leadership at the DNC to quit for cheating Bernie Sanders.

As Hillary haters stay hopeful there will be enough information to send her to prison, remember that she has dodged a lot of bullets in her career. The information may not put her in prison, but it could definitely play a role in the outcome of the election.

Check back to Citizen Action often, because when we know, you will know.

What do you think the WikiLeaks information is about?

On the same night that president Obama hit the DNC with a speech to attempting to portray Hillary as the only one worthy of the presidency, Wikileaks released something shocking.

Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, and even members of the DNC have admitted that more emails may be coming, but what we got today wasn’t another batch of emails.

WikiLeaks published 29 audio files that totaled around 14 minutes of voicemail messages.

After reviewing the messages there is almost nothing that is newsworthy, except for the fact that this time the release is actual audio and not just email.

Assange has said recently that contained in documents that WikiLeaks possesses, there is enough evidence to have Hillary arrested.

So far the information that started to come out late last week caused the leader of the Democratic Party to resign her position and not event get on stage during the convention.

The leaks are also making Hillary and her campaign and millions of supporters nervous as well. Despite the FBI saying that Hillary was “careless” with her handling of critical information, they do not believe that her server was actually hacked.

If the next batch of emails contain evidence of a breach, that may complicate things for Hillary for sure.

If the next batch of audio files has a senior campaign staffer for Clinton leaving a message for Debbie Wasserman-Schultz about putting out the Bern, then the Democratic Party will be divided for a long time.

If the next batch of information has any details about corruption within the Clinton Foundation, then Hillary will not win the election and could go to prison.

Trump fans and die hard Bernie fans want to see Hillary go to Prison, but her fans and Democrats in general don’t honestly think any of this is true.

What we do know is the audio files that were released later Wednesday were only a tease. The only reason they were released was to let Hillary, the DNC and the world know that they have more than just emails.

This is going to get real ugly, real soon.

What information does Wikileaks have that will sink Hillary? Let us know in the comments below.

Who is a better man, Bernie Sanders or Ted Cruz? It is a legitimate question. Both were in similar situations and made different choices on how to support the nominee of their respective party.

Bernie Sanders lead an amazing campaign by any measure. He railed against corruption and Hillary Clinton.

He fought hard and raised $220 million from “$27” donations and started a “revolution”. Well, almost started a revolution.

Bernie Sanders vowed to fight to the convention, and at the end of the day, he didn’t win.

Bernie held out over a month, but he eventually caved and endorsed Hillary Clinton and joined the “corruption” that he fought against for over a year.

If you ask Democrats, they are proud of Bernie for supporting the party. Hillary fans and CNN pundits will say that Bernie did the right thing, but did he?

If ask the Bernie “revolution”, they are disgusted and most likely will vote for Gary Johnson and some will split between Hillary and Trump.

Now let’s jump to the Republican Party where Ted Cruz signed a pledge to support the party’s nominee, even if it was Trump. He made a big deal about keeping his word.

Remember this?

Although, the pledge was before Donald Trump attacked Cruz’s wife and associated Ted’s father in the killing of JFK, he still broke it. The battle between Trump and Cruz wasn’t vicious during the primary, and it would be hard to keep the pledge for anyone.

It is understandable that Cruz would break the pledge and not endorse Trump. The party may be a little upset, his fans would be happy and everything would be great.

That isn’t what he did though. That is what Jeb Bush and John McCain did, but they did it from home.

The problem is, that Ted Cruz went to the convention and made a big spectacle and embarrassed the party. He embarrassed himself and really, it wasn’t a cool thing to do.

So now back to the original question. Who is the better man? The one that fights against corruption and joins it or the one that stands up for his family but does it in a moronic way?

Let us know your answer in the comments below.

Bernie Sanders has been a thorn in Hillary’s hoof all year long and now that he has officially endorsed Clinton for president, he is still a thorn.

Just two months ago, many Americans thought that Bernie might be able to pull of the greatest political upset in decades. Now he has conceded his loss and now supports Clinton.

Monday, at the “unity rally” for Hillary Clinton, Bernie and the former Secretary stood on stage together to bring the Democratic Party together.

It was a moment that Hillary has wanted for a long time, but Bernie held out as long as possible.

With the Democratic convention just over a week away, you would think that Bernie would do what he could to help Hillary win the nomination, but that isn’t what happened the very next day.

Bernie left the “unity rally” and wen to DC to speak to the League of United Latin American Citizens.

Bernie was given a total of 23 minutes to talk, and surely he talked about Hillary Clinton and why it is important to vote for her right? Nope.

Bernie Sanders mentioned Hillary Clinton one time, and it was to say that he has met with her and she is using his ideas to make the Democratic Party the most progressive it has ever been.

Bernie mentioned Hillary once and it was to say that he is heavily influencing her presidency.

It doesn’t sound like Bernie is totally “with her”, but he is not against her. That won’t stop thousands of Bernie fans that plan on descending on the Democratic Convention to protest Hillary’s nomination.

Maybe the Republicans are not the only ones who want Hillary to go to prison.

California

Something strange is going on in California and the Bernie fans are starting to really get upset.

The Bernie Sanders revolution grew because millions of people felt like their voices were not being heard and money in politics was silencing the little guy. Now that California still hasn’t counted 2 million votes, the Sanders fans are becoming restless.

The Democratic Party declared Hillary the winner without even counting a huge amount of votes, and in the process they divided their party and are disenfranchising their youth.

Hillary is going to have a difficult time winning in November unless a large number of Bernie supporters jump to her camp, but this is going to make it hard for people to join Hillary when they feel cheated.

There are counties all over California counting ballots and the Bernie camp is calling for a complete recount.

The amazing thing is, Bernie took the lead over Hillary in almost all the polls in California the day before the race but ended up losing by over 10 percentage points. How did that happen?

There are also reports of voting machines breaking, voters who were not on the appropriate lists to vote and hundreds of other complaints. To say the least, California’s primary is undecided.

To take it a step further: was there malicious wrongdoing? Is it possible all the chaos in the golden state is there just to hand Hillary the win and get her one step closer to the White House? Is Hillary involved somehow?

What we do know is that Bernie Sanders and the democratic process were cheated in California and it needs to be made right.

Do you think Bernie was cheated? Let us know in the comments below.
