Healthcare Troubles
New boss, same as the old boss?

While hosting the World Series Champion Chicago Cubs in the Oval Office, President Donald Trump responded to reporters’ questions about the Republican health care bill with a few short remarks. However, he did say that the health care bill will be a big surprise for everyone.

Talking to the group of baseball players who have just won the World Series, he asked, “Does anybody want to see the Oval Office?” the players laughed and replied affirmatively. Referring to the press, he said, “We’ll leave them behind.”

“And just to do a little official business,” Trump said to the reporters, “health care is working along very well.”

“We’re gonna have a big surprise with a great health care package,” he told them, “now they’re happy.”

“We’re gonna have a great, great surprise,” he said, as he walked away while reporters threw questions at him about the supposed surprise.

On Wednesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced that he had come up with a break through idea with president; splitting up the bill so it can easily pass through Congress.

The Republicans’ health care bill narrowly passed the House of Representatives, however, the Senate then decided to draft their own all over again.

The way the bill is being drafted has been criticized from both sides. Conservative Republicans are of the opinion that the new bill is simply “Obamacare lite” as it doesn’t really repeal Obamacare, while Democrats say the bill can prove to be dangerous and will literally kill thousands of Americans.

According to Bette Midler, the bill is equal to Bashar Al Assad, the Syrian dictator, killing his own citizen with toxic sarin gas.

Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) also claimed that the House of Representatives’ version of the bill would go on to bring “death, pain, and suffering.”

"You are going to have to read the speech in order to find out what's in it..."

On Sunday, during an event in New York City, Nancy Pelosi seemed to suffer from spells of memory loss, while giving a speech regarding Obamacare.

Pelosi also spoke about her father, “He was part of a group called the Berkson Group and they did rallies and pageants and parades and um, and when he stood up on the floor of Congress, ‘I stand here as a representative of the …” and then she seemed to be distracted, as she gazed at the audience, standing at a loss of words.

Getting back to what she was saying, Pelosi added to her botched speech, “members of the Jewish army.”

Talking about Obamacare, she elaborated, “Home care — some, you know, people are at home but they still get care from, uh … from Medicaid,” she said, before going silent again while staring into the crowd.

Continuing her speech on health and medical care, Pelosi said, “It will have a tremendous impact on what families can do for their children … ” and motioned with her hands, as if searching the air for the words, and added, “with relationship to what they need to do.”

It is to be noted that this is not the Nancy Pelosi has made such a botched speech. Earlier this month, following the attack on Republican congressmen at the GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia, Pelosi confused his critical injuries with death.

“Our hearts are broken over the assault that was made, really on all of us,” Pelosi said, referring to the attack on the congressmen by a left-wing activist.

“But personally heartbroken over the dea— uh,” she continued, pausing, closing her eyes and lowering her head, “of what happened to Steve Scalise, our colleague,” she finished.

Abandon Ship
Isn't rearranging leadership in the Democratic party a lot like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic?

A new report from Politico has revealed that Democrats recently met to discuss House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s future as the leader of the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party seems to be in disarray especially after the disastrous elections that many had expected to expose Trump’s weaknesses, however, it did quite the opposite.

About a dozen Democrats, led by Representatives Kathleen Rice (D-N.Y.), Tim Ryan (D-Ohio), and Seth Moulton (D-Mass.), spoke about how the hopes of retaking the House of Representatives from Republicans would go down the drain if Pelosi was still in charge of their group.

“There are many more people today, even from November, who are much more vocal, who have approached us and said, ‘I’m done. We need to move forward and we need to get a new leadership team in place,” Rice said.

Pelosi, in response, rejected criticism by flaunting her achievements, saying, “Well, I’m a master legislator. I am a strategic, politically astute leader. … My leadership is recognized by many around the country, and that is why I’m able to attract the support that I do, which is essential to our elections.”

“We don’t agonize, we organize,” she concluded.

Rep. Rice disagreed, saying, “There is a consensus, I think, that we can reach in the caucus that allows for a new leadership team to be put in place in a time that’s well before, hopefully, November of next year.”

The discussions regarding replacing Pelosi comes on the back of the Democrats’ recent defeat in the special election in Georgia. Democrats were of the opinion that Trump’s low favorability might come to show in the special elections; however, all expectations regarding the special elections have been dashed with a clean sweep in four elections.

Most of the blame has been shifted towards Pelosi. Karen Handel, winner of the special election in Georgia, while campaigning, made sure that she clearly showed the connection of her opponent, Democratic candidate Jon Ossof, to the House Minority Leader. Being the most expensive House election in US history, especially for Democrats, it was more painful for them.

The division in the Democratic Party is now more apparent than ever. Even President Trump took to Twitter, to mock the infighting between party members, saying, “I certainly hope the Democrats do not force Nancy P out. That would be very bad for the Republican Party – and please let Cryin’ Chuck stay!”

Another lawmaker said that the Democrats’ image has become “toxic” in several parts of the country. He further elaborated that this was even worse than Trump’s image.

Pelosi Gaffe
Well, that's awkward!

While talking to reporters about injured colleague Rep. Steve Scalise (R-La) on Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) made an embarrassing mistake. Scalise remains in critical condition following the shooting at the GOP baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia.

“Our hearts are broken over the assault that was made, really, on all of us,” she said, “but personally heartbroken over the dea…ah, at what happened to Steve Scalise, our colleague.”

Even though Scalise is quite alive, currently under treatment for injuries sustained at the shooting, Pelosi seems to begin to say “death,” while talking to reporters at Capitol Hill on Thursday.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with him and Matt Mika,” she added, referring “as they continue with their, the care that they need, but also as we do pay tribute to them, identify with them.”

“Use all of our energy, just like sports,” she continued, and all your energy for them to get well. We all have to pray and identify with their concern.”

The hospital where Rep. Steve Scalise is being treated, Medstar Washington Hospital Center, also released a statement on the condition of the injured Republican Congressman. “Earlier today, Congressman Steve Scalise underwent a second surgery related to his internal injuries and a broken bone in his leg,” the statement read.

“He remains in critical condition, but has improved in the last 24 hours. The Congressman will require additional operations, and will be in the hospital for some time,” it added. “At the request of the family, we will continue to provide periodic updates.”

Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi doesn’t know how to handle a Trump presidency, and is having a hard time making points using facts.

Last week she called Trump “president Bush” in a live press conference, but she took it one step further this week.

Pelosi used a fake tweet from a fictitious Michael Flynn Twitter account.

She did’t stop there. Using the fake account she said that the Michael Flynn resignation is turning into the next Water Gate.

Watch the video below to hear Mark Dice explain what really happened.

Dennis Miller thinks that Nancy Pelosi is “Bat Sh*t Crazy”.

She might be losing it, or she is directly lying to the American people.

She recently called Steve Bannon a “white supremacist” without any proof.

Just this month, Nancy Pelosi has shared fake news, called Bannon a “white supremacist” and doesn’t even know who is in the White House.

One prominent campaign theme of President Elect Donald Trump was his promise to “repeal and replace” Obamacare, officially known as the Affordable Care Act.

Now that Trump has won and plans to fulfill his promise to voters, Republican law makers in Congress have already started to waffle on the “complexity” of repealing the law, while Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi have begun the job of spreading scare tactics around the nation.

The former House Speaker told a crowd at a press conference on Wednesday, “Do you want grandma living in your guest room?”

For those who take on family responsibilities, the threat fell on deaf ears.

However, the California lawmaker continued with arguments that made little sense, specifically that if Obamacare were repealed, health costs would “skyrocket.”

Insurance premiums have already significantly increased since the inception of the Affordable Care Act and are expected to increase by an estimated 25% in 2017. To date, insurance premiums have increased by an average of $4,300 or $358 per month since Obamacare took effect.

In 2015, health care costs totaled an average of 10% of the average worker’s salary and is projected to rise above 14% in 2017.

In 2006, that number was 6.5%.

Democrats out of touch

Nancy Pelosi was elected by her colleagues to continue to be the House Minority leader. The vote is a clear sign the Democrats are out of touch.

The Democrats suffered a historic loss on November 8th and essentially lost control of all three branches of government.

Not only did the most unlikely candidate defeat, according to Obama “ the most experienced candidate to ever run for president”, the Democrats lost the House, Senate and any chance to change the Supreme Court.

America stood up and spoke with their vote. Millions of Americans rejected the policies of Obama and the direction the Democratic Party wanted to take America.

How did the DNC respond? They continued the status quo by keeping Nancy Pelosi.

Her challenger, Tim Ryan from Ohio got 32% of the vote, but not enough to defeat Pelosi.

What kind of message does it send to the members of the Democratic Party who are upset that they picked Hillary to be the presidential candidate over Bernie Sanders?

What does it say that one of the most important leaders of the Democratic Party keeps her position when in only six years; the Democrats have lost the House, the Senate and now the Presidency?

Is there no accountability on the left?

Tim Ryan knows what message the Democrats are sending by re-electing Nancy Pelosi.

“I think it sends a message that a lot of people felt like maybe they weren’t getting heard.”

The DNC has a lot of work to do to gain back the respect of their members and the trust the voters. Unfortunately for House Democrats, 68% of them don’t understand.

What do you think about Nancy Pelosi keeping her position as House Minority Leader? Are the Democrats out of touch? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Donald-Trump

Talk about strange bedfellows: Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi?

But it turns out, back in January 2007 when Pelosi had just taken up the gavel and become the first female Speaker of the House in American history, Trump had nothing but praise.

Trump was still a registered Democrat in 2007.

He sent her a copy of the New York Times–which had a prominent picture of her shaking her gavel at the speaker’s chair in front of the American flag.

In the margin, he wrote:

“Nancy–

You are the greatest!

Good luck–

Donald”

Trump has had a rocky time explaining away his past liberal leanings–including his pro-choice stances and his praise for universal health care, not to mention his large number of donations to high-profile Democrats might be the icing on the cake.

Previously, Trump had attempted to claim that his donations were nothing more than transactions to curry political favor–for example, he said he forced Bill and Hillary Clinton to attend his wedding after making a sizable donation to the Clinton Foundation.

And he claimed that, on a number of hot button political issues, he’s simply “changed his mind.”

But a signed letter, proclaiming that the former Speaker of the House is “the greatest”? That goes beyond merely trying to curry political favor across the aisle.

Whether or not Trump will successfully be able to explain away his letter to Pelosi, it’s clear that the evidence that Trump’s political beliefs might be fluid are piling up.
